Bushnell Speedster III Radar Gun is an upgraded version of Bushnell's superb hand-held Speedster radar gun series. The Bushnell Speedster Radar Gun has an enhanced detection distance range compared to previous Speedster Radar Gun models, making it ideal for baseball and softball, auto racing, tennis, ice-skating, horse-racing, track - any sport where speed is crucial. This sports radar gun is made for accuracy and power, with advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) software that filters out false returns and other bad info, providing accurate speed readings. The Bushnell SpeedsterIII Radar Gun lets you measure the speed of anything moving over 10 miles per hour with ease - just point and pull the trigger. The Bushnell Speedster Radar Gun displays continuous readouts for as long as the trigger is deployed.

The Bushnell Speedster3 is equipped for wireless transmission, so you can set it up and display instantaneous speed readouts on a wireless radar display screen (sold separately or available here as a kit). Coaches can set up pitchers and hitters to see their own results in real-time! The Speedster 3 Speed Gun has a pistol-style handle with a textured grip that allows easy point-and-shoot operation. This Bushnell speed radar gun offers digital speed readings from 10 to 200 mph, and can clock a variety of differently sized objects - from a tennis ball up to a speeding car. The Bushnell SpeedsterIII Speed Gun features speed ranges of 10-110 mph (up to 90 ft distance) for baseballs, softballs, and tennis balls, and 10-200 mph up to 1500 ft for automobiles with +/- 1 mph (+/- 2 kph) accuracy.

Inside its sleek, simple casing, this Bushnell radar gun conceals cutting edge electronics. Once the trigger is engaged, the Speedster Radar transmits a radio frequency signal from its K-Band microwave RF (Radio Frequency) transmitter. The radar transmits 24 billion RF cycles of energy per second at the speed of light (186,000 miles per second). That signal is reflected by the target object, and the resultant Doppler frequency shift - the difference in speed between the transmitted and recieved signals - is detected by the radar gun. The Speedster III amplifies, filters, and digitizes the signal in an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC), and passes it on to the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) chip. Using complex algorithms, the Bushnell DSP chip filters out false and low level return signals, to identify and display the speed of the desired target. The speed along with various statistics and averages are then displayed on the Speedster-3 Radar Gun LCD display.
